A little history ...

... it really only started in 2008

Hi, I am Hans van Dam; the owner of ObviuZ.

In 2008, after 20 years of IT experience in various roles, primarily as a database consultant in projects, I decided to become an independent consultant.
Without the overhead of an employer, I could fully concentrate on the assignment at a lower cost for the client, that's why and when I founded DamData.

In July 2020 DamData moved to Faial (Azores), a big step but necessary for a better work-life balance.

In July 2021, I founded the Portuguese company Cachalote, actividades de informática, unipessoal Lda. It has taken over all activities of DamData and now operates under the trade name ObviuZ.

What hasn't change, I always:

• Look for the right balance between time, costs and quality.
• Look beyond specifications: often the things that are not (yet) specified are essential for the result.
• Am critical; are we doing the right things or can we do better?
